“En hakiki mürşit ilimdir, fendir…” (Atatürk, 1923)
“Milletimizin hedefi tam anlamıyla medeni (çağdaş) bir toplum olmaktır,” diyen Atatürk, çağdaşlaşmanın ancak bilimle mümkün olduğunu görmüştür. Bu nedenledir ki, 1924’te öğretmenlere, “Dünyada her şey için; maddiyat için, maneviyat için, hayat için, başarılar için en hakiki mürşit, ilimdir fendir,” diye seslenmiştir.
Cumhuriyetimiz, özgür aklın rehberliğinde, pozitif bilimle çağdaş uygarlığa yönelmiştir. Güçlü Meclis’ten güçlü orduya, Medeni Kanun’dan Harf Devrimi’ne, kadın haklarından çağdaş eğitime, Atatürk Orman Çiftliği’nden Yüksek Ziraat Enstitüsü’ne, Alpullu Şeker Fabrikası’ndan Şişecam’a, limanlardan demir yollarına, radyo yayınlarından televizyon yayınlarına, Hıfzıssıhha Enstitüsü’nden genetik araştırmalara, uçak fabrikalarından insansız hava araçlarına ve Nobel ödülüne kadar uzanan Cumhuriyet birikiminin temelinde “bilim” vardır.
Mürşit Kitap, Atatürk’ün “En hakiki mürşit ilimdir, fendir” sözünden ilham alınarak 100 yıllık Cumhuriyet birikimine bir saygı duruşu olarak hazırlanmıştır. Mürşit Kitap, ona her baktığınızda size Cumhuriyet birikimini hatırlatacak.
Mürşit Kitap, el imalatı camdan üretilmiş, üzerindeki rölyef desenlerin tümü el işçiliği ile dekorlanmıştır.

"The goal of our nation is to be a fully civilized (contemporary) society," states Atatürk, understanding that modernization is only possible with science. For this reason, he delivered an address to teachers in 1924 as follows: "For everything in the world, for materiality, for spirituality, for life, and for success, the truest mentor is science."
