Zaman Kapsülü

Türkiye’de yüzyılın başında Atatürk’ün liderliğinde çok zor koşullarda bir bağımsızlık savaşı kazanılmış, sonrasında –şimdilik 100 yıllık– kesintisiz bir barış sağlayan Lozan Barış Antlaşması imzalanmış ve ardından da akıl ve bilim ilkeleriyle laik, çağdaş Türkiye Cumhuriyeti kurulmuştur. Tam bağımsız, laik, çağdaş Türkiye Cumhuriyeti, ezilen, sömürülen, geri kalmış uluslara da örnek olmuştur.
Zaman Kapsülü, 100. yılına giren Cumhuriyetin hem geçmişine hem geleceğine gönderme yapmak için tasarlanmıştır. Kapsül, Cumhuriyetin zamana yenik düşmeden gelişip yükselip geleceğe taşınmasını temsil etmektedir.
Zaman Kapsülü’nün içinde orijinal Ulus Gazetesi’nin, Cumhuriyet’in 14. yılı için hazırladığı birinci sayfasının tıpkıbasımına yer verilmiştir. Özel olarak tasarlanan cam kapsül, Atatürk’ün ölümsüz fikirlerini, o fikirlerle biçimlenen Cumhuriyetin aydınlığını ve “çağdaş medeniyet düzeyinin üstüne çıkma” idealini yansıtmaktadır.
Zaman Kapsülü, el imalatı cam ve metalden üretilmiştir.

Early in the last century, the War of Independence in Türkiye was won under the leadership of Atatürk, followed by the Treaty of Lausanne, which has ushered in 100 years of continuous peace to date. At that time, the secular and contemporary Turkish Republic was established on the principles of wisdom and science. The fully independent, secular, and modern Republic of Türkiye also serves as an example for oppressed, exploited and underdeveloped nations around the world.
The Time Capsule is designed to reference both the past and the future of the Turkish Republic, which celebrates its 100th year in 2023. The capsule represents the Republic of Türkiye, which is ever-developing, rising and moving forward toward the future while withstanding the test of time.
The Time Capsule contains a facsimile of the front page of the original Ulus Newspaper, issued for the 14th anniversary of the Republic. The specially designed glass capsule reflects Atatürk's immortal ideas, the enlightenment of the Republic shaped by those ideas, and the ideal of "rising above the level of contemporary civilization."
The Time Capsule is handcrafted from glass and metal.
